A Perfectly Flâneurial Day - Saturday, 4 October

A flâneur is someone who strolls pretty much aimlessly, just going where their whimsy takes them. It can also refer to a lounger or loafer. Whatever definition you choose, today was a perfectly flâneurial day! I stayed mostly in my ‘hood, just wandering and looking at buildings and stopping for a snack or drink and checking out some shops, including those of the gorgeous Galerie Vivienne (art, antiques, ephemera, cafés, toys, fashion, etc.).  Here are some snapshots

'nuff said!

Place des Victoires, just a few blocks from my apartment

This is a financial district of my 2nd arrondissement -
that's the Bourse (Stock Exchange) at the far north end
of rue de la Banque

One entrance to Galerie Vivienne is off rue de la Banque,
through the archway on the right

From the center of Galerie Vivienne, looking
towards the entrance on rue de la Banque

then looking to the right from that same spot

and looking to the left

rue Bachaumont, where I stayed a couple of years ago
