A flâneur is someone who strolls
pretty much aimlessly, just going where their whimsy takes them. It can also refer
to a lounger or loafer. Whatever definition you choose, today was a perfectly
flâneurial day! I stayed mostly in my ‘hood, just wandering and looking at
buildings and stopping for a snack or drink and checking out some shops,
including those of the gorgeous Galerie Vivienne (art, antiques, ephemera, cafés,
toys, fashion, etc.). Here are some

Place des Victoires, just a few blocks from my apartment |

This is a financial district of my 2nd arrondissement -
that's the Bourse (Stock Exchange) at the far north end
of rue de la Banque |

One entrance to Galerie Vivienne is off rue de la Banque,
through the archway on the right |
