My “welcome to Paris” lunch on rue Montorueil was more like it! Not the best Salade Niçoise I’ve ever had, but pretty darn tasty for the terrace of a tiny café! And a small Leffe Belgian Abbey ale on a gorgeous sunny fall afternoon. Aaahhhhh....
I checked in to my amazingly spacious, comfortable and well-equipped Airbnb apartment (more about it later) and chatted with my charming host, Laurence Perez, as she showed me where everything was and how to work the equipment and where to find the bottle of Champagne she left for me! She works in communications and fashion and photography, and I’m going to enjoy browsing through her big bookshelves. Her office is right next door - very handy, should I need any info or help with anything!
Then it was a couple hours of unpacking, charging up the electronics, taking a short nap, doing some “work” for the various nonprofits I’m involved with, and then hitting the streets!
