Good news – every trip needs one “near miss,” and I got it out of the way early this time, and I’m sure you’ll be glad to hear that my skull is intact!
During the plane boarding process, my neighbor across the aisle was attempting to put a heavy carry-on in the bin above my head. She lost her grip and it came crashing down, barely missing me, and just hitting the back of my seat. It’s one of those split-second things – I didn’t actually see it coming but I sensed it just in time to duck. Whew! That thing could have bashed my head in. Everyone around gasped. She was very apologetic. I forgave her. I did, however, watch her carefully as she took her suitcase down upon our arrival!
So, the new thing in airline cutlery (at least back in the cattle car) is bamboo spoons/forks/knives. Hmmm. Good for the environment, but a bit unpleasant on the palate. Give me sterling silver any day! (Ya, ya, I know, First World problem, and for a very small slice of that world!) I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth, but I sure do acknowledge and appreciate the “silver spoon” blessings that come my way, totally unmerited. Including Paris.

Wow,that was a near miss! It probably made you forget about being trapped in the alley by the dump truck and cement truck when we had to leave for the airport! LOL! May the rest of your trip go smoothly!
I just noticed this comment...sorry I'm so slow, E! Ya, it was fairly dramatic!
